Rev. Brett Winters has served churches in Kentucky, Arizona, Texas, and Missouri in 20 years of ministry. At Lexington Theological Seminary, he met his amazing wife Trish where together they were married and ordained in 2002. Together with their dog Beignet, they call Belton, MO home. Trish serves as Senior Minister of First Christian Church of North Kansas City.

Brett comes to us having concluded 13 years of ministry with Raymore Christian Church. Brett enjoys vacations to national parks and exploring new places. He has gotten through Covid19 by putting together puzzles, feeding the birds on his back porch, and learning the ukulele.

Brett’s role as intentional interim minister will be to lead North Oak Christian Church in this time of transition. With compassion and faithful accountability, we will listen together for the Holy Spirit’s leading. Brett will help the congregation to grieve, heal, discern and make decisions about the future. The important work done together over the next 12-18 months will define the passion of purpose of our congregation and will lead to the calling of North Oak Christian Church’s next minister.
